1. Parties and Acceptance
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of HalalVera, operated by FBS Inc. (Delaware, USA). By creating an account or using the platform, you accept these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
HalalVera is a verified-discovery platform for finding places and products against criteria such as halal, kosher, organic and vegan. It includes a knowledge base, community Q&A/reviews/lists, and flows for adding a business and claiming ownership of one.
3. Trust Tiers and Declarations
A criterion label on a record can sit at different trust tiers: declared (the business's own statement), web-sourced (compiled from a third-party publication, not yet verified), and verified/certified (confirmed through HalalVera's own process). HalalVera is not a religious or legal authority; the information provided is for guidance only, and the final decision is yours.
4. Accounts and Community Content
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when creating an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential; the account holder is responsible for activity carried out through it.
- The reviews, questions, answers and lists you post are yours; HalalVera reserves the right to publish and moderate them, including removal.
- Content found to be false, a fake business listing, or abusive may be removed, and the account may be suspended.
5. Adding a Business and Ownership Claims
You may add a business or claim ownership of an existing record. Ownership claims are reviewed by the HalalVera team and may be approved or rejected. Providing false information can lead to the ownership grant being revoked or the account being suspended.
6. Prohibited Uses
- Producing unlawful, misleading content or content that infringes a third party's rights,
- Creating a fake business listing or fake community content (reviews, questions, lists),
- Attempting to bypass the platform's security measures or gain unauthorised access,
- Using another user's account without authorisation.
7. Pricing
HalalVera's core discovery and community features are currently free. Any paid tier offered in the future (e.g. Premium) will be announced clearly and separately when it goes live.
8. Disclaimer and Termination
The platform is provided "as is", with no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. You may close your account and end these Terms at any time; HalalVera reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account in the event of a serious breach.
